Space-Right™ is a tool used to help efficiently and safely navigate COVID-19 by updating seating arrangements on-the-fly based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) physical distancing guidelines. Space-Right™ uses a physical distancing algorithm that updates seat assignments on your floor plan at the press of a button, saving you time and giving you peace of mind.
Space-Right™ integrates seamlessly with iOFFICE Space Desktop providing you with a robust tool to plan and execute your return-to-office strategy.
Refer to the following sections for more information on the features available in Space-Right™.
- Set safe distancing parameters. To access Space-Right™, click Space module then click Space-Right™. From here, select your building and floor, and click the Turn on Safety Distancing button. The "safety level" (the minimum distance allowed between occupiable spaces), can be adjusted by clicking and dragging the slider button.
- Get seating scenarios based on the Safety Level parameters. Use the slider to select the distance that best fits your strategy. As you move the slider, the % Capacity and Number of People fields are updated to reflect your floor plan occupancy selection.
- Customize the category for spaces. By default, the new category used to define space is "Distancing" and the category items assigned to spaces will be "Safe," "Unsafe," "Convert to Office," and "Reduce Capacity." These items can be edited in the Space-Right™ screen by editing the text fields in the menu on the left side of the screen. Spaces labeled as "Unchanged" will not be categorized. Any non-occupiable room with a capacity of 0 or 1, such as a break room or cafe, will be labeled as "Unchanged."
- Send your newly categorized spaces directly to Space Desktop. To save your plan, click on the Save and View in Space Desktop button. On the Space Desktop, you can update the Space Type and Capacity to make move plans that can help you execute your return-to-office strategy.
*Note: Space-Right™ is not supported in the browser version IE11 or below.
