Receive Updates in Slack - 2017 March

If you and your team use Slack as your interoffice communication tool, you are probably aware of how useful Slack notifications can be for increasing efficiency and saving time. In an effort to further integrate your workplace tools, you will soon be able to receive your iOFFICE notifications directly in the Slack App. This new integration can help you and your team stay organized by allowing you to access notifications in a centralized location, using your primary communication tool.

New Slack Integration

Slack integration will be available initially for the notifications in the following modules.

Notifications only display in Slack if preferences are set to receive notifications in the corresponding module.

  • Service Request. Requesters, primary contacts, and operators can receive alerts for actions taken on tickets, including when a ticket is submitted, completed, or canceled, comments on the ticket, and operator updates.  Learn more in Push and Email Notifications.
  • Reservations. Hosts and guests receive alerts when a reservation is created or updated.
  • Visitor. Hosts receive alerts whenever a guest checks in using the Visitor App, allowing them to respond quickly and reduce wait times for their guests.

Before you can receive updates in the Slack App, integration settings must be defined by your site administrator. For information on defining settings for this integration, contact your Account Manager.

This exciting new feature will be available for your team in the coming weeks.
