Additional integration with assets and service requests is now available on the Space Desktop. In addition to being able to search for assets directly, two new detail views are available, allowing you to dive deeper into the asset and service request details associated with rooms or users. With this enhancement, you can access the Asset and Service Request modules directly from the Space Desktop, increasing efficiency when performing a variety of tasks within iOFFICE.
Refer to the following list for more information on the new Asset and Service Request views:
- View Detailed Asset Information. To access the Asset view, simply search for and select the asset using the Search field on the Space Desktop. You can also select an asset directly from the list associated with a user or room. This view allows you to view basic asset information, such as the asset name, model, location, and any notes associated with the asset. When an asset is selected from a search, the asset location is pinged on the floorplan, allowing you to quickly identify the asset's assigned location.
If you need to view additional information or edit the asset, click the View & Edit Full Details button in the Asset view. The asset displays in the Asset module on a new tab. When you are finished viewing or applying edits to the asset, you can easily close the new tab and return to the Space Desktop without losing your place.
Using this integration with the Asset module, you can easily verify and update asset information directly from the Space Desktop, which can save time when updating multiple assets on a single floor.
- View Service Request Details. To access the Service Request view, select a service request directly from the list associated with a user or room. This view allows you to view basic information for the request, such as email, phone number, and location, as well as the assets assigned to the user and service requests added by the user.
If you need to view additional information or edit the service request, click the View Full Details button in the Service Request view. The service request information displays in the Service Request module on a new tab. When you are finished viewing or adding information to the request, you can close the new tab and return to your work on the Space Desktop.
- New Fullscreen view. In addition to the Asset and Service Request views, we have added a new button on the Space Desktop to allow you to utilize more screen area to view your data. To make the viewing area larger, click the new Fullscreen button in the upper-right corner of the screen. The Sidebar menu is hidden, allowing you to view more of the floorplan and other relevant details directly on screen. Simply click this button again to return to the normal view.
The new Asset and Service Request views provide employees and administrators with powerful and seamless integration tools, which can help them complete tasks in multiple modules more efficiently. Using these views, employees can update asset records and follow up on service requests from a convenient and centralized location.
