Editing User Fields

Once you edit an existing user field, a separate dialog box opens.

  1. Name the task field.

  1. Select a field type. Your choices are:

  • Text – Simple free form fill-in field. The multi-line option allows for the text to flow to more than one line.

  • Money (and Number) – These fields allow you to specify numerical-only entries with a required number of decimal places.

  • LiveSearch – A field that, based on the first few characters typed into the box, returns matches from the directory.

  • Drop Down – If you select this option, you will be prompted to enter the values that will appear in the drop-down menu.

  • Checkbox – Simple checked/unchecked box.

  • Calendar – Presents a calendar icon that can be used to choose a date.

  1. As you select a field type, you need to customize the information for the field. For example, if you choose Text as the field type, you need to select whether it is a multi-line field.

  2. When you are done, click OK to save changes to the task field. Click Cancel to exit without saving changes.
