There are two ways to move users using the Space Manager:

  • Visual User Moves

  • User Moves with Room Searching

Virtual User Move

This method of moving a user can be useful when you are playing around with room arrangements and do not have a particular list to work from.

  1. Click a room. In the Room Inspector, you can see details of the room including current occupants and assets.

  2. To move an occupant, click the occupant’s name then select Move from the menu that appears. Two additional features in that menu that are useful:

    • Vacate – Allows you to remove the user from this room.

    • Edit – Allows you to edit user information, which will open in another window. Pop-up windows must be enabled for this feature to work.

  3. Then click the room to which you want to move the occupant or asset. As you do that, a line appears on the screen graphically indicating the potential move.

  4. If you want to move a person or asset to another building or a different floor, drag the line to the building icon in the Floor section of the task bar and select the floor or building from the provided list.

User Move with Room Searching

This method of moving a user can be useful for when you are working off a list of user names.

  1. Click a room. In the Room Inspector, click the occupant’s name.

  2. Select Move To from the menu that appears.

  3. In the window that opens, start typing the room to which you want to move the user. LiveSearch returns results that match what you have entered so far. Select the correct result from the list.
