Sections

Learn about the Sections grid.

This article shows a User how to add sections to Hippo.

Definitions

Sections: A section makes it possible to divide a building into smaller areas. For example, this refers to departments within a manufacturing facility. It is possible to add separate floor plans for each one of those areas. They are entered as Sections.

Note: A User must have a Section entered before being able to create a floor plan.

Instructions

  1. Enter a Facility, access the Facility Admin Panel.
  2. Open the Sections grid.
  3. Click on the New icon (+) in the upper right corner and enter a name for a section.
  4. Associate that section with its corresponding building.
  5. When finished click the Save icon in the upper right corner then click the Close (x) to save and close the grid.
