Locator Calendar Integration
Serraview's Room Booking Service is a service created to enable Locator, to display information about which meeting rooms are available, details about meeting room availability times, and to reserve meeting rooms. The service accomplishes this by integrating with calendar applications such as:
- Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS)
- Microsoft Exchange Online/Office 365
- Google Calendar™
Space Availability Request Example
In this example, Locator has sent a request via the Room Booking Service for the availability of the space (meeting room) to the calendar application. The calendar application returns the meeting room's availability and then Locator interface displays the meeting room's availability.
Reserve a Space Request Example
In this example, Locator has sent a reserve a space request via the Room Booking Service to the calendar application. The calendar application returns the meeting room reservation confirmation. Then the Locator interface displays the meeting room as reserved.
It is important to note that the calendar data is only called by Serraview when a room has been selected in Locator and the Reserve button will not display until the calendar data has been loaded.
