General Information
Description - A list of people and where they are located, either to a dedicated workpoint or team space.
Common Data Sources – The list may come from an existing system (such as an IWMS, CAFM, or HR system) or a manually prepared spreadsheet.
Recommended Refresh Frequency – This will depend on your organization's requirements.
Custom Fields – Custom fields are not used in this data import.
File Updates – While occupancy in Serraview can be manually updated in different ways within Space Mapping, VBS and Workplace, the Occupancy Import can be used to update bulk lists of people to teams and people to desks.
Occupancy Import
The Occupancy Import requires the following:
- Each row of the data file represents where a person is located, either to a fixed space or a team space.
Identify a Building
The import uses the following columns to identify a building and you must include one of the columns in the import.
- Building Number
- Building
Identify a Floor
The import uses the following columns to identify a floor and you must include one of the columns in the import.
- Floor Number
- Floor
Identify a Desk or Team
The import uses the following columns to identify a desk or team and you must include either all columns or one of the columns in the import:
- Workpoint - to add the occupant to a workpoint
- Team - to add the occupant to a team
- Cost Centre - to add the occupant to a cost center
Identify a Person
The import uses the following columns to identify a person and you must include either all columns or one of the columns in the import.
- EmployeeNo
- LogonName
To remove an unknown person, use the _RemoveOccupancy column with the yes value.
