Requirements for Space Type Hierarchy

Use the 323 Space Classification Import Report to populate this import.

Space Type Hierarchy Import


The Space Type Hierarchy Import uses the following columns to identify a space type and the hierarchy's structure.

  • Parent Space Type
  • Space Type

Data Dictionary


The table below lists the columns and the required columns and values are shown in blue text.

Polyline Type

By default, this is set to Polyline.

In this column you can use either:

  • Yes - to indicate Polyline / No - to indicate Point
  • 1 / 0
  • Polyline / Point

Can Have Workpoints

By default, this is set to Yes.

In this column you can use either:

  • Yes / No
  • True / False
  • 1 / 0 or blank

Default Workpoints

By default, this is set to 0.

If the space type has workpoints then in the Can Have Workpoints column enter Yes and then in the Default Workpoints column enter in the number of workpoints.

If the space type does not have workpoints then in the Can Have Workpoints column, enter No and then leave this column blank.

Can Have Seats

By default, this is set to No.

Update the number of seats within the space. This can be used for offices, meeting rooms, shared spaces. 

In this column you can use either:

  • Yes / No 
  • True / False
  • 1 / 0 or blank

Can Have Storage

By default, this is set to No.

In this column you can use either:

  • Yes / No 
  • True / False
  • 1 / 0 or blank

Default Charge Rule

By default, this is set to Rentable Exclusions.

The charge rule, which controls whether or not the space can be allocated to a team.

In this column you can use either:

  • Rentable Exclusions
  • Dedicated Allocation
  • Floor Common All
  • Building Common All
  • Shared Allocation
  • Sublease
  • Base Building
  • Campus Common All
  • Campus Common Internal
  • Floor Common Internal
  • Building Common Internal

Default Occupancy Configuration

By default, this is set to Do not allow occupants.

This is the occupancy of the space.

In this column you can use either:

  • Do not allow occupants
  • Single Occupant
  • Multiple Occupants (prompt)
  • Multiple Occupants

Space Classification

Use the space classification set up in the keyword called Space Classifications.

Stylised Floorplan Renderer

By default, this is set to blank.

You can configure the default setting for the space type to define whether the spaces are Hidden, Visible, or Interactive on the floorplan. 

In this column you can use either:

  • Hidden
  • Interactable
  • Visible

Default Reserving Disabled

By default, this setting is turned off.

You can disable the default reserving for certain space types. This setting is found on the Space Types, Engage tab. For example, disable the reserving for the Escalator space type.

In this column you can use either:

Include in Area Calculations

In this column you can use either:

  • Yes / No

Function

Enter the function of space type and the default setting is Unknown.

This defines the purpose of the space and this lets you categorize your space types from a main Space Function list, for example, Core Building Service, Encroachment, Expansion, Secondary Circulation, Training, Public Space, Laboratory, Office - Individual, Office - Collaboration, Unknown.

Tags

Tags are applied to a workstation. When you want to add a new tag in the column you must include all the existing tags in the columns too. Any tag that does not exist in the column will result in the tag being deleted.

Include all that tags existing and new using a comma-separated format:

sit to stand, dual monitors,adjustable desk

Ensure that there are no spaces between the commas.

 Use Default Color and Color

Column Name Description
Use Default Colour
  • If [Colour] is provided with a value [Use Default Colour] is ignored.
  • If [Use Default Colour] is provided with [false, no, 0, empty] value [Colour] is required.
  • If both [Use Default Colour] and [Colour] are not provided it is considered as Use default color is selected for the space type.

Colour
  • If [Colour] is provided with a value [Use Default Colour] is ignored.
  • If [Use Default Colour] is provided with [false, no, 0, empty] value [Colour] is required.
  • If both [Use Default Colour] and [Colour] are not provided it is considered as Use default color is selected for the space type.

The color code can be HEX code or a RGB (red, green, blue) code.
