Why can I not reserve a space?

This can be caused by a variety of reasons. For example:
  • The room is currently reserved.

If this is the case, the space will display gray on the floorplan, and you will see a note that displays when it is next available. You are unable to reserve a space for a future time in Locator.

  • Reservations for the space have been disabled.

If this is the case, the space will display green on the floorplan, with a note that displays 'Reservations Disabled'. If you think this setting is incorrect for the space, then contact your System Administrator.

  • Space type has not been enabled.

If the space type has not been enabled to display in Locator, it will not show on the floorplan at all, it will be white, rather than gray or green. If you think this setting is incorrect for the space type, contact your System Administrator.

Using Locator with SVLive

  • Sensors can display that the space is currently occupied. Your System Administrator will determine whether room availability is determined by calendar information alone (i.e. meetings booked via your calendar management product) or using both calendar data and sensor information.
