Wire up - Test and Validate

Serraview's Wireup Tool allows non-technical auditors to quickly and accurately audit locations to connect (or "wire-up") switch ports to their physical locations.

  • Before you schedule the wire up, test the wire up of one desk per floor and validate the switch details.
  • Use the Wire-up Workpoints Manual - Checklist to ensure you are ready to send your auditors out to wire-up a space.

For information on the wire up configuration and prerequisites, review the entire section of SVLive and Wireup Configuration.

Wire up Workpoints Manually

Complete the wire up for all workpoints on each new floor. For information on how to wire up the workpoint manually and the prerequisites, review the entire section of Wireup Workpoints Manually. Also, you can watch the Using the Wire-up Tool Video.

1

Locator and Room Availability

Before you can use the Room Booking Service contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to organize access.

The Serraview Room Booking Service is a service created to enable Locator, to display information about which meeting rooms are available, details about meeting room availability times, and to reserve meeting rooms. The service accomplishes this by an integration with calendar applications either:

The client will need to import the calendar email address for each meeting room for the calendar availability to display. You can use the Workpoint Import to update the email address for each meeting room, refer to Workpoint Import and Locator.
