You can now crop user avatar images when adding them to a user profile in the iOFFICE application. Previously, to avoid formatting issues with an image, administrators were advised to crop and square (128x128 pixels) the image prior to adding it to a profile. Now, you have the option to crop and center user Avatars on-the-fly, eliminating the need to resize the image prior to adding.
Note: If you are performing a bulk import of images, it is still recommended to apply consistent standards to the bulk image files prior to import.
To update your user avatar, access the User Profile screen by selecting the Profile option from the My Account submenu (top-right corner of the screen). Then drag and drop an image on the User Profile screen. The new Crop Avatar Image window displays, where you can use the slider to adjust the zoom level and click and drag on the image to adjust the image centering as needed. When you are finished cropping the image, click the Save Image button to save your changes and add your new avatar.
This new process increases efficiency by allowing you to add and resize a new Avatar in a single location, eliminating the need to access a separate program prior to updating your image. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-505-0224 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
