There is one way to move assets using the Space Manager:

  • Visual Asset Moves

Move Asset

Assets are displayed on the Space Manager, making it easy to move them.

  1. To move an asset elsewhere on the same floor, click an asset and drag it to the desired location on the floor plan.

  2. To move an asset to another floor or building, click the asset and drag it a short distance. This causes the asset to populate the Moves List.

  3. Click the Moves button in the tool bar to open the Moves List.

  4. To assign a new location, click Edit next to the asset name.

  5. A new window will open. Type the new room number in the LiveSearch field. Matching results will appear. Click the desired location.

After you have moved users and assets in the manner described above, you may want to view a list format of the move scenario. Note that at this point you are just laying out a potential move scenario. Nothing will be changed or made permanent until you chose to do so.

  1. Click the Moves button to see details for the current move in a list format.

  2. Click Edit Request to change the scenario name or requested move date.

  3. Use the buttons under the Actions column to modify individual move items:

    • Edit a user or asset by clicking the Edit button.

    • Remove a user or asset by clicking the Remove button.

  4. To close a scenario, click the Close Request button.

  5. To combine a scenario you are currently working on with another, choose Append a Request then select the scenario with which you want to combine the current scenario, using the drop-down menu that appears.

  6. To finalize changes, updating the database information about occupants, assets, and their locations, click the Archive Scenario button. Note that this cannot be undone.
