Reservations Module Updates

As part of our continued effort to provide you with a user friendly experience, we've made the following enhancements to the Reservations module:

 

  • All Day Reservations Now Match Center Hours. When a room is reserved for an entire day, the start and end times for the reservation are now based on the business hours defined for the center.

    With this change, the start and end time for each meeting is clearly indicated, reducing confusion by displaying room utilization more accurately.
     

  • Rooms Now Sorted Alphabetically. Rooms listed on the Room Availability screen are now sorted alphabetically. This feature can help you locate rooms more easily when adding new reservations, saving time when completing this routine task.
     

  • Additional Live Tags Available for Confirmation Emails. Two new "live tags" have been added to allow you to insert the room description and room type automatically in reservation emails. The following tags are now available:
     

    • [roomdescription]

    • [roomtype]


    To use a live tag in a reservation email template, access Admin → Reservations → Preferences and enter the tag in the body of the template. For example, to display the room description in the Check-In Message, simply enter [roomdescription] in the appropriate location in the body of the Check-In Message template. When the Check-In Message email is sent, the description of the room associated with the reservation displays in place of the live tag, allowing you to provide this information to guests.
     

With these updates, the process of adding reservations is now more intuitive, allowing you to spend more time preparing for your reservations and less time adding them.
